I’ve changed the name of the blog to better reflect what it’s about now that I know. It’s now “the cloud and me.” I’ve left the web address the same for maximum confusion. Hope you like it. The tagline is: “how we might understand the relationship between ourselves and the personal cloud,” which is cumbersome but gets the job done for the time being. The “welcome!” section is much better now, starting with my two-cents (well, really it’s only 1/100th cent) answer to the question “What is the [Personal] Cloud?”
The new name is also supposed to reflect the new, relaxed-fit blog that I am trying to write.
I went out looking to see what I could see just for today and found this – if you are interested in the hardware end of the personal cloud – the Cloud Computing server farms – you might be interested in this short piece (Maureen O’Gara) in Cloud Computing Journal today about the possibility that the 500,000 sq ft facility that Apple is building in “rural North Carolina” is, in fact, going to be a “mammoth cloud.”
If not, you can still enjoy the clip of the painting by Magritte – Le fils de l’homme – (The Son of Man) – that illustrates it and see a complete image on Wikipedia.
Art and the cloud. Love it. I’ll be looking out for more of that.
