The idea is simply this. The introduction of free blogging services meant that the individual now had a way of becoming a Digital Inhabitant without cost. Suddenly a single person could have a free home in the digital world. And experts had free office space.
And that meant that the “organization of one” took a giant, practical leap forward. So much so that it introduced the “expert-centric universe.” The expert-centric universe is one in which the individual expert has become the center of attention, rather than the organization. The implementation of the expert-centric universe seems to me to be currently underway, with challenging results in the Real World. See the upcoming post – “the future of work.”
In a more general way, with the introduction of free blogging services for the individual we have become a digital world of 6.7bn individuals who operate on a level playing field once they become Digital Inhabitants or in the language of the digital world, inhabitants of the digital world, distributed across many digital countries (like facebook) and proto-digital countries (like blogger). This is also an interesting idea to me.
